Upcoming Events:
The Danone Institute International announces the launch of the 3rd Edition of the Danone International Prize for Alimentation, DIPA = the Call for Applications is now open !

  • The DIPA is conducted by the DII in collaboration with the French Medical Research Foundation, FRM.

Launched in 2017, the Danone International Prize for Alimentation (DIPA) replaced the long-standing Danone International Prize for Nutrition (DIPN) initiated in 1997 and represents an evolution in the concepts, from nutrition to alimentation. The DIPA recognizes the need for novel and collaborative approaches that consider the diverse influences on people’s food choices and eating habits, including economic, social, psychological, cultural and environmental factors. Unravelling the relationships between these Alimentation factors and how they impact on the planet and human health requires researchers to build bridges between nutrition sciences and other disciplines.

As a reminder, the 1st Edition of the DIPA laureated Dr. Sophie Nicklaus in 2018 for her research on “Nurturing health through pleasure of eating – the right choices from the start “;  and in 2021 the  2nd Edition of the DIPA laureated Dr. Jess Haines for her research on “ Promoting sustainable healthy eating among families, through novel, interdisciplinary research and knowledge mobilization”.

Danone Institute North America sponsors different webinars throughout the year and exhibits in person at 4-5 nutrition and medical conferences. We participate in other conferences as well.
